Netflix announces fate of Person of Interest star’s new series Sex/Life

Netflix has confirmed that new episodes of raunchy drama Sex/Life are on their way.
Following the success of the show’s first season, the streaming platform announced that it has renewed it for a second, and Person of Interest’s Sarah Shahi, Mike Vogel, Adam Demos and Margaret Odette will all be back as their respective characters, Billie Connelly, her husband Cooper, her former lover Brad Simon and her best pal Sasha Snow.

oosely based on BB Easton’s memoir 44 Chapters About 4 Men, Sex/Life’s opening chapter centred on Billie’s frustrations with her monotonous suburban life.

In a desperate attempt to relive her freewheeling past, she starts to write down certain experiences she shared with her passionate ex-boyfriend – which prompts a series of increasingly racy fantasies.
In its last episode, Billie seemingly reconciled with Cooper, concluding that the life they’d built together was enough for her. She went back on her decision in its final few minutes, however, and asked Brad whether he’d be interested in pursuing a future with her instead – a question he didn’t get a chance to answer before the credits rolled.

Sex/Life is a dream come true. To create a show about empowered female sexuality that has entranced so many millions of viewers is not only immensely fun but also incredibly gratifying,” said series creator and showrunner Stacy Rukeyser.

When I think about all the women who have reached out from all over the world to say that the show speaks to them in a deeply personal way, I am so inspired. I’m thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to continue telling this story for Billie, and for all of us.”
“It was always intended to be a shocking realisation for Billie,” Rukeyser explained to TVLine around the time the season landed online.
“She loves both her children, but she’s in this world with other parents who seem to be fulfilled with just this world, and it’s not enough for her. There is this other part of her, this more sexual self, this wild part of herself that she wants to experience.”
