Manchester United player ratings: Anthony Martial and David de Gea poor vs Sheffield United

Man United lost in the Premier League for the first time since November to Sheffield United and here are how the players rated.
David de Gea
Billy Sharp’s shove could not legislate for De Gea’s feeble goalkeeping as United conceded from yet another corner. Abysmal clearance for the second. 4
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Much better going forward and one of United’s more reliable attackers all night down the right. 6
Axel Tuanzebe
Started well but got caught under the ball for Kean Bryan’s header and booked before his awry positioning allowed Sheffield United to regain the lead. 4
Harry Maguire
Did not properly keep check on Sharp or David McGoldrick. Unfortunate to be penalised for another aerial duel and then scored with a superb header. 6
Alex Telles
A major downgrade on Luke Shaw from open play at left-back but trumped him in claiming an assist from a corner. 6
Nemanja Matic
Struggled to justify his starting status after Sheffield United went ahead. Not as quick with the ball as the fleet-footed Fred. 5
Paul Pogba
Had plenty of the ball without affecting the play often enough and did not grab the game by the lapels. 5
Mason Greenwood
United’s brightest forward in a blunt first-half. Missed an excellent chance on his right foot early in the second. Unlucky to be substituted. 6
Bruno Fernandes
Played too high and deprived United of a conduit between the midfield and attack in the first-half. Created a chance for Mason Greenwood. 5
Marcus Rashford
Had little joy on the left and moved to the right, where he also got little change out of the Sheffield United defenders. 5
Anthony Martial
Needed treatment early on and United needed to change Martial for Cavani there and then. Completely cowed but not substituted. 3
Subs
Edinson Cavani
Should have come on sooner. Alert. 5
Luke Shaw
Tried. 5
Donny van de Beek
Barely had an impact. 5
Manager
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Rested too many regulars, took an eternity to make the first change and even longer to react to going 2-1 down. No change in formation at all. 3
